TracePage PDF

Privacy policy

Effective August 16, 2026

Summary

TracePage PDF handles the current webpage only when you start a capture. Processing occurs on your device. The extension does not send page content, URLs, capture metadata, generated PDFs, or usage analytics to the publisher or to third parties.

Data the extension handles

To create the PDF you request, TracePage PDF handles:

The extension accesses this information only after you invoke it on the active tab and start a capture.

How the data is used

The information above is used solely to capture the page you selected, assemble the PDF, create its capture receipt and page footers, and save the requested PDF and any user-selected JSON or checksum receipt sidecar through Chrome.

Transmission, sharing, and sale

TracePage PDF does not transmit captured content or browsing information to publisher-controlled servers. It does not share or sell user data. It does not use data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to creating the requested PDF.

Storage and retention

Page frames and capture metadata are held temporarily in the local capture workspace while the PDF is created. The generated PDF remains in that workspace's memory until its window closes so you can choose Save PDF again. Closing the workspace releases that temporary extension state, subject to ordinary browser memory management. The downloaded PDF and any user-selected receipt sidecar remain under your control in the location handled by Chrome's download system.

Security

Because capture processing is local, the extension does not transmit captured data over a network. No system can guarantee absolute security; review generated PDFs before storing or sharing them, especially when a page contains private or sensitive information.

Children's data

TracePage PDF is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. It does not operate an account service or knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

You control when capture begins, which active page is captured, and where Chrome saves the PDF. You can stop using the extension or uninstall it at any time. You can delete generated PDFs using your device's file controls.

Changes

If the extension's data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before the changed practices are released. Material changes will be disclosed as required by applicable store policy.
